Show Don't Tell


WALT makes inferences about a character's feelings.

This week we read a story called Timo and his shorts. It was about this boy called Timo and he got some new shorts so he can go for a swim at school with his friends. Then he had a big problem when he got to the changing shed to get changed but his shorts were gone.


I found it easy to talk about Timo’s face,body,and voice.
I really enjoyed talking about Timo’s reactions and feelings and what he might be thinking.

epro 8

 During this week my class did this rotation thing everyday after morning tea. Yesterday my class did epro 8 and in my team was Dallas,Ezekiel,Devontae, and me. When the teacher gave us the instructions we had to build a dog kennel. We were learning about e pro 8 and how to build the dog kennel.


First, my team and I had to think what we had to do with the floor and then tried to make the legs so our dog house could stand properly.


Secondly, when my team was building we were in front of everyone because we were on criteria three and the dog house was nearly taller than me.


Finally, when the build was done we had to break the whole thing down and put the parts in their correct spots.  

I found it easy to grab the nuts and bolts and give them to Dallas.

I found it hard to put the parts together.

I really enjoyed building the dog house with my team.

Next time I need to be more understanding so my team knows what I'm saying.

Acrostic poem

 During week 1 my class and I went into lockdown. We had to do online school work and we had to do our work at home. It was boring because we had no cross country to do.

In the first week of lockdown I was getting bored. I couldn't wait to go to school but we got stuck in a lockdown for a few weeks and carried on with online school.


Second, while we were in lockdown I always tried to do something to entertain myself so me, my mum and my sister went for a walk down to The Aerodrome. Then we walked down there for six kilometers. When we got back I checked my chromebook to see if I had class but it took me one minute to find out that I had no class.




Finally: Now we are in Level two I can go back to school to see my friend’s.


We were learning about an Acrostic poem.

I found it easy to write while I was in lockdown.

I found it hard to put language features in my writing.

I really enjoyed doing online school so the can explain how we can improve my writing

Next time I need to do more work for maths and reading so I can move the little man up into the air.

Patly cloudly

We are learning to infer and make predictions when we are reading.

This week me and my class did Literacy. In Literacy we watched a video called Partly Cloudy. The whole class watched the video and then we went to our tables to put our information in our slide of T-Shaped. 
We were learning how to make inferences using the book Wheke.

I found it easy to put information in my Literacy slide.

I found hard to make some inferences.

I really enjoyed watching the video to get my information.

Next time I need to try thinking about the clues in the text to help me more.

Maths Basic Facts certificate


In my class we did a maths warm up to practice basic facts. I got 85% and it took me 19m and 43s. The maths was hard because I am on early stage 6 so my teacher said I had to do stage 6.

We were learning how to quickly recall our basic facts.

I found it easy to use my knowledge of times tables to answer the multiplication questions.

I found it hard to answer the know groupings to 1000 questions, so will work on them to improve my score.

I really enjoyed doing maths.

My digital day

We are learning about how we advertise ourselves online.
We talked about only posting things online that keep us safe. 
We learned how tagging photos and post make it easier to find out about someone, so we need to be careful about our post content.

We created a D.L.O showing our Digital Day.


Firstly. We did cybersmart and we had to do go on our history and look at the icons.

Secondly. We had to use an app called remove.bg. Then we had to put the photos on my digital Day map.

Thirdly. We had to put the icons that we got from our history on to our map in the order that we visited.

The apps that I used is reading eggs, Mathz whizz, class hand in sheet, and google slides.
